Men can be so hard to buy for. Am I right? Which makes birthdays, Christmas, and Father’s Day torture for the rest of us. That is what prompted me to put together a few ideas of last-minute, affordable gifts that will work for absolutely any dad.

Gift Cards for Dad
Everyone loves gift cards. If you aren’t sure what Dad would like, grab an Amazon card or VISA gift card so he can buy pretty much anything his heart desires. Or, choose a card that shows how well you know Dad like a one from his favorite store or restaurant. Two major benefits of gift cards are that you can buy them in almost any amount, and you can send them via mail or email if you need a last-minute gift. Experiences for Dad
I personally love giving people experiences rather than physical gifts. If you have a larger budget, consider things like tickets to a sporting event or concert, a hot air balloon ride or a hunting trip. If you’d like to spend less, movie tickets, a
Hobby-Related Gifts for Dad
Take a moment to think about what Dad enjoys doing. Maybe he enjoys watching sports, playing video games, boating, grilling, watching movies or building models. No matter what Dad’s hobby is, you can put together a themed basket with goodies he will love. These baskets can be more expensive with expensive tools and accessories in a large, beautiful basket. They can also be cost-effective if you pick up some cheap fillers from Dollar Tree, use coupons at places like Michaels and Hobby Lobby, buy used items from Amazon or eBay, and put everything in a gift bag or plastic bin.
Dad’s Choice Day
Perhaps what Dad really wants is a day with all of his favorite things. Start by planning to make or buy Dad’s favorite meals. Play Dad’s favorite music and watch a movie that Dad loves. Take Dad to do something he enjoys, or maybe he would rather you take everyone else on an outing so he can have some quiet time at home.
Practical Gifts for Dad
In addition to experiences, I enjoy getting people practical gifts I know they will love and use. Maybe you have heard Dad mention that he’d like to have a nicer razor and shaving set. Or, you could have Dad’s car washed and detailed. If Dad is a tech lover, you could buy him some new phone accessories such as chargers, screen protectors, or pop sockets. Think about the things Dad uses on a daily basis and decide if he needs a replacement or an
Subscription Services or Boxes for Dad
We live in a wonderful world where there is pretty much a membership or subscription box for everyone and every interest under the sun. Try Omaha Steaks for the meat-loving dad or Instructables for the dad who likes to make things. Cratejoy has the best selection of subscription boxes out there. Just go to their site and search for a particular interest or start browsing. I got my husband the Finders Seekers subscription box for Christmas, and we loved trying to solve the mysteries together.
BONUS: My #1 tip for choosing what gift to get Dad is to take a few minutes to think about what he really needs right now.
Is there a problem you know Dad has been struggling with that you can help solve? If Dad has arthritis, get him some those Copper Fit gloves or braces. (My dad loves them.)
Does Dad need some peace and quiet away from everyone to relax? Reserve a room at a local hotel for one night.
Consider how you can use this gift-giving occasion to serve the dads in your life and love them well.
If these ideas have been helpful to you, share this post with your friends on social media. We gals need all the help we can get to make getting gifts for the men in our lives easier.
